- Date
This position paper defines the strategic direction of BFH’s “Humane Digital Transformation” thematic field and operationalizes it through concrete, implementable measures.
Together with civil society, BFH contributes to a digital transformation that is in harmony with human values and perspectives. As a university of applied sciences, we are actively committed to strengthening digital literacy by empowering people through education, research, public engagement, and practice-oriented cooperation to reflect on the effects of digital technologies on people's lives in a differentiated way and to use them to shape our digital future (Digital Ethics & Society). Through an interdisciplinary, socio-technical approach, digital technology is understood as a tool (Human-Machine Interaction & Augmented Intelligence) that serves and benefits people and can be responsibly integrated into everyday life and the world of work, with the aim of exerting a positive influence on today's and tomorrow's society and improving quality of life. A humane digital transformation contributes to a more sustainable society, whether in the areas of digital learning, digital engineering & value creation, or digital healthcare, which are more efficient, innovative, and resilient.
